| DOT SEMINAR – New DOT 49 CFR Part 40 Regulations
A full one day overview of the new DOT rules and
regulations for drug and alcohol testing. A copy of the new
regulations will be provided. Discussion on major DOT policy
issues including validity testing, public interest exclusion and
stand-down. Review of new drug and alcohol testing forms
(mandatory use August 1, 2001), test protocols, and laboratory
procedures. Other topics include the role of the Medical Review
Officer and Substance Abuse Professional, and more. Participants
are encouraged to invite their industry collegues.
Who should attend:
Employers of DOT covered workers, Occupational health providers,
Third Party Administrators and Consortiums, MROs, SAPs, Laboratory
representatives, Insurance providers, trucking company, transit,
railroad, pipeline, and aviation management personnel. |

COLLECTOR COURSE (Mandatory for all Collectors by January 2003)
A six hour course designed to comply with new DOT
regulations pertaining to collectors. New DOT rules require all
collectors undergo basic knowledge and qualification training plus
proficiency training. Collector refresher training will be required
every five years thereafter, and error-correction training is required
if the collector makes an error that causes a DOT drug test to be
cancelled. Mock collections shall be performed according to DOT
requirements. Each person must bring at least (7) copies of the new HHS
Federal five-part Custody and Control Form in use by their laboratory
and (7) corresponding sealed split specimen collection kits. A permanent
copy of the collector certificate shall be maintained by Alpha Pro
Solutions, and the collector shall be notified when future refresher
training is required.

and refresher collectors, collector instructors, collector supervisors,
occupational health providers, employers of DOT covered workers,
auditors, insurance representatives, laboratory representatives, MROs,
SAPs, MRO assistants, TPAs.

COLLECTOR INSTRUCTOR COURSE (includes Collector Course)
Eight hour course covering new DOT drug test
collection regulations and procedures. Includes the Collector Course.
Instructors shall be provided with tools needed to conduct collector
courses. Attendance in the Collector Instructor Course shall meet new
DOT rules for training collectors. Each person must bring at least (7)
copies of the new HHS Federal five-part Custody and Control Form in use
by their laboratory and (7) corresponding sealed split specimen
collection kits. Instructors shall be listed in the Alpha Pro Solutions
nationwide instructor database for future referrals. A permanent copy of
the collector instructor certificate shall be maintained by Alpha Pro
Solutions, and the collector instructor shall be notified when future
refresher training is required.

workers, auditors, insurance representatives, laboratory

BAT REFRESHER COURSE (Mandatory for all BATs by January 2003)
Six hour course covering new DOT alcohol
testing regulations. New DOT rules require certified BATs to
undergo refresher training. Mock tests shall be performed using
your own breath alcohol testing device. A refresher BAT
proficiency certificate shall be provided. Certified BATs must
send a copy of their existing BAT/EBTcertificate with their
Registration Form, plus note the make and model of EBT used. BAT
Refresher students must bring their own breath alcohol testing
device and (15) mouthpieces to class. A permanent copy of the
BAT refresher certificate shall be maintained by Alpha Pro
Solutions, and the BAT shall be notified when future refresher
training is required.
Who should attend:
Certified BATs and their supervisors. BAT Instructors, TPAs,
MROs, Occupational health providers, Employers of DOT covered
workers.

BAT INSTRUCTOR COURSE (includes BAT Refresher Course)
Eight hour course covering new DOT alcohol testing
regulations and procedures. A verifiable BAT / EBT certificate is
mandatory. Instructors shall be provided with tools needed to conduct
BAT courses. Attendance in the BAT Instructor Course shall meet DOT
rules for training BATs. BAT Instructor students must send a copy of
their existing BAT/EBTcertificate with their Registration Form plus note
the make and model of EBT(s) used. BAT Instructor students must bring
their own breath alcohol testing device and (15) mouthpieces to class.
Instructors shall be listed in the Alpha Pro Solutions nationwide
instructor database for future referrals. A permanent copy of the BAT
Instructor certificate shall be maintained by Alpha Pro Solutions, and
the instructor shall be notified when future refresher training is
required.
